The patient was male, 2.5 years old at the time of operation, L2 hemivertebra. A, B Preoperative anteroposterior and lateral radiographs; C, D Postoperative anteroposterior and lateral radiographs indicated that the patient was almost completely corrected; E, F Anteroposterior and lateral radiographs at the last follow-up, indicating that the Cobb Angle of the main curve progressed to 22°, the spine presented an S-shaped curve, no postoperative kyphosis, no internal fixation dislocation or fracture, and the Cobb Angle of the segment was well corrected
