APS induced autophagy and reduced apoptosis in DEX-treated MLO-Y4 cells. MLO-Y4 cells were exposed to the treatment with 10− 5 M dexamethasone (DEX) for 3 days with the purpose of constructing SONFH cell model. (A) MTT assay examined the effect of different concentrations of APS on the viability of MLO-Y4 cells. Then, cells were subject to treatment with 8 mg/ml APS for one day. (B) Immunofluorescence detection of LC3 expression. (C) Western blot determination of autophagy-related proteins (LC3II/LC3I, Beclin1, p62). (D) Flow cytometry analyzed cell apoptosis. (E) Western blot analyzed apoptosis-related proteins (Bax, C-caspase3, C-caspase9, Bcl-2). Results expressed as mean ± SD. **P < 0.01,***P < 0.001
