A 71-year-old woman underwent anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion due to cervical spondylotic myelopathy (Group III). A two-level corpectomy and a fibula graft were performed. The computed tomography image showed ectopic gas (arrow) in the fibular graft 3 months after surgery (A). The gas disappeared 6 months after surgery (B), but it appeared again (arrow) without sufficient bone fusion 1 year after surgery (C). The gas disappeared again with sufficient bone fusion 18 months after surgery (D, E)
