Testing setup. The cranial pedicle screws are anchored in organic thermoplastic polymer (PEEK) according to (ASTM) F-1717-04 (1). The rigid body (2) is rigidly fixed on the caudal screw and the spinous process for active motion tracking. The cranial and one caudal pedicle screw are rigidly connected with a longitudinal rod (3). The caudal screws are placed in the mounted vertebra (4). Both (1) and (4) can be tilted in ventral and dorsal directions by means of the pivot axis bearings of the setup
