Day 2 | First debridement (removing the massive bone defect and changing the external fixator). |
Day 7 | Second debridement. |
Day 12 | Third debridement (wound closure). |
Day 45 | Distal tibial corticotomy. |
Day 52 | Distal tibial distraction was initiated at a rate of 1 mm/day (0.25 mm 4 times/day). |
Day 322 | The tibia had returned to its original length. |
Day 1200 | Union at the docking site and consolidation of bone regeneration was achieved. The external fixator was removed. |
