Table 1 Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria

Patients with acute (severely painful) calcific shoulder tendinopathy

Patients with symptomatic calcific shoulder tendinopathy

Patients with rotator cuff rupture

Age greater than 18

History of previous surgery or malignancy

Every session performed was under ultrasound guidance.

Corticosteroid injection within the preceding 6 weeks

Previous ESWT treatment
