Osteoclast histomorphometry. Osteoclasts were determined by enzyme histochemical labeling of tartrate resistant acidic phosphatase (TRAP, A-B). The parameters osteoclast surface to bone surface (Oc.S/BS, C), osteoclast number to bone surface (N.Oc/BS, D), osteoclast number to bone volume (N.Oc/BV, E), and osteoclast number to tissue volume (N.Oc/TV, F) of α7KO (KO) compared to α7WT (WT) were calculated. Data presented as box plots with the median indicated by solid line within the box, percentile 25 and 75 as bottom and top of the box, and percentile 0 and 100 as whiskers.
