Up-regulation of CD40L and CTLA-4 by PYK2 activation in PBMCs from patients with active SLE (C), but not those from normal individuals and RA patients (A and B). PBMCs were incubated for 24 h with medium, PMA (1 ng/ml) or pretreated with the PYK2 inhibitor TyrA9 (5 μM) for 1 h before the addition of PMA, and then analyzed for the expression of CD40L and CTLA4 by flow cytometric analysis. All experiments were repeated at least three times with similar results. Statistical analysis: * = p < 0.05.
