Results of 24 h of Dexamethasone exposure on gene expression (qPCR) of Gls a and Got1 b, levels of free glutamate (glutamate assay) c and the protein content (densitometry of western blots) of NMDAR1 d in response to dexamethasone (Dex) exposure at concentrations from 1 nM to 1000 nM. Gls and Got1 mRNA is reduced in a dose dependent manner a, b. Glutamate levels are decreased at 10 nM and 100 nM of dexamethasone. No changes can be observed for NMDAR1 c.
