Intervertebral space height (ISH) The height of the intervertebral space is expressed by the mean value of the anterior height (AH) and the posterior height (PH) of the vertebral body on the lateral X-ray of the lumbar spine. Range of motion (ROM) The lumbar vertebral range of motion was indicated by the Cobb angle α of the operative segment and the adjacent segment. The Cobb angle α of the lumbar vertebrae was measured in the lateral, hyperextension, and hyperflexion positions. For the L5-S1 ROM, the upper endplate of the L5 vertebral body and the upper endplate of the sacrum were selected for measurement
