Dexamethasone (DEX) treatment induces muscle atrophy and impaired muscle Bcat1 expression in mice (n = 5). A DEX-induced muscle atrophy is associated with reduced Bcat1 expression. BCAT1 protein expression was determined by western blotting using samples from the gastrocnemius muscle of control mice and mice with muscle atrophy. GAPDH was used as a loading control.
