Chondrocytes in the superficial zone showed positive staining for PDGF receptor-β in the peripheral region of the osteochondral tissue (A). In the central region of the osteochondral tissue, a few positive cells were observed in the superficial zone (B). No positive cells were detected in the deep zone (C)
