With a straight elevatorium and by blunt dissection, the soft tissues are elevated to create a working space at the dorso-medial edge of the osteotomy. With a 4.3 mm wedge burr, the bony prominence is smoothed down. Afterwards, thorough rinsing is required to wash out bony debris. The oblique view is used to check sufficient removal of the dorso-medial edge (arrow)
