Schematic illustration for the dorsal subscapularis approach. After the deltoid-pectoral approach, we inverted the subscapularis muscle by suturing to the subscapular tendon, and dissected the dorsal side of subscapularis muscle from the scapula. This approach enable us to reach the subscapularis muscle belly with a reduced risk of vascular or nerve injury and pneumothorax
