Depiction of the Achilles tendon using Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse. The figure shows an image obtained with the examination protocol. The transducer is held longitudinally and moved along the Achilles tendon in order to produce a sagittal view. The diameter of the tendon (a) and the elastographic measurement in VTIQ mode (b) were obtained in the same manner for each patient. We used a 9 L4 linear transducer with an Acuson S3000™ (Siemens Healthcare, Erlangen, Germany)
