Assessment of hip function in terms of the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) hip score. The JOA hip score is measured on a 100-point scale comprised of categories for pain (40 points), range of movement (ROM; 20 points), walking ability (gait; 20 points), and activities of daily living (ADL; 20 points), with higher score indicating better hip function. JOA score of walking and ADL points improved significantly at the most recent follow-up examination
