Measurement of lateral offset from the lateral wall of the Koehler’s tear drop of the pelvis and the medial point of the trochanter minor (see measurement a within Fig. 1a and b). The leg length (=vertical offset) was measured from the highest point of the trochanter major of the femur to the lowest point of os ischium of the pelvis (see measurement b within Fig. 1a and b). The centrum-collum-diaphyseal-angle (see pink line within Fig. 1a and b) was defined preoperatively as the angle between the shaft axis and the femoral neck, and postoperatively the angle between the shaft axis and the neck of the prosthesis
