The effect of periostin for the expression of chondrocytic genes in human cultured chondrocytes. The alteration of chondrocytic genes expression was assessed by quantitative RT-PCR for cultured chondrocytes after stimulation by periostin in variant doses (0, 3, 10, 30 μg/mL). The expressions of COL1A2, COL2A1, COL10A1, ACAN, and SOX9 gene were unaffected by periostin. The target mRNA levels are shown relative to GAPDH.
