Change in relaxation rate (ΔR ₁  ± SD) in the meniscus (•) and the femoral cartilage (ο) in the posterior medial compartment after injection of a double dose of Gd-DTPA ^2- (0.2 mmol/kg body weight). The values were significantly higher in the meniscus than in the femoral cartilage 90-180 minutes post injection (0.001 ≤ p ≤ 0.017).
