Figure 3From: Efficacy of low-dose intra-articular tranexamic acid in total knee replacement; a prospective triple-blinded randomized controlled trial The drainage blood loss rate (DBLR) at each time point throughout 48-hour drainage recorded period, in all three groups, showed a significant reduction in both TXA groups compared to control group in the early period after clamp release (the first 2-hour period in TXA-250 group and the first 4-hour period in TXA-500 group (ā ā=āpā<ā0.05). After that, the mean DBLR in both TXA groups were decreased at a slower rate than those in control group resulting in unexpected significant greater in the mean DBLR in both TXA groups compared to control group for several hours (ā ā=āpā<ā0.05).Back to article page
