Each rectangle represents the normalized expression of an individual gene within both mRNA populations. Axes of the scatter plot represent the log scale of the normalized fluorescence intensity value in group A and B. The middle dashed line indicates values that represent a ratio of 1 (similar expression in group A and B). The outer lines represent a ratio of 2,0 (upper line; 2-fold greater expression in group B compared with group A) and 0,5 (lower line; 2-fold greater expression in group A compared with group B).
