Table 1 Inclusion criteria

Observational cohort study

Adult study population aged 18 years or over

3.

Study population with symptoms and or signs indicative of 'sciatica' based on individual study criteria, with the broadest accepted definition being "pain down the leg which spreads below the knee"

4.

Outcome measures include one or more of pain, function, disability, recovery or psychosocial measures.

5.

Minimum follow-up period of 3 months
