The lengths of the intersected line between the femoral head center and the most superior point of the greater trochanter in the normal right femur (D R ) and in the deformed left femur (D L ) were 47.36 mm and 51.28 mm, whereas the angles of the intersected line with respect to the horizontal line were 3.80° (α R ) and 26.86° (α L ), respectively. The translation of the femoral head center after corrective surgery was then calculated to be 20.09 mm.
